Third Tuen Mun District Biliteracy and Trilingual Kindergarten Recitation Competition (10 May 2025)

Event Purpose:
Shun Tak Fraternal Association Dr. Wu Siu Kui Memorial Primary School is committed to nurturing students’ holistic development by providing diverse opportunities for them to showcase their talents. This competition aims to create a platform for kindergarten children to demonstrate their language abilities, foster interest in languages, enhance communication skills, and further develop their potential in language arts while building confidence.

Last Year’s Event (11 May 2024):

  • Co-organizers: Shun Tak Fraternal Association Dr. Wu Siu Kui Memorial Primary School and Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers Centre for Innovation and Technology Education.
  • Co-supporting Organization: Hong Kong Youth Performing Arts Exchange and Development Association.
  • Participation: 22 kindergartens from Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, and Tin Shui Wai districts, with approximately 220 K2 and K3 participants competing in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin recitation categories.
  • Awards: Each category awarded one Champion, First Runner-up, Second Runner-up (each receiving a trophy), and three Gold Award winners (each receiving a medal).
  • Structure: Preliminary rounds held in classrooms, with six finalists per category advancing to the finals in the school hall, followed by an award ceremony.
  • Active Participation Award: Awarded to three kindergartens with the highest number of participants:
    1. Shun Tak Fraternal Association Tuen Mun Leung Lee Sau Yu Kindergarten
    2. Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Ko Tei Koon Memorial Kindergarten
    3. California Heaven Kindergarten

This Year’s Event (10 May 2025):

  • Co-organizers: Shun Tak Fraternal Association Dr. Wu Siu Kui Memorial Primary School and Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers Centre for Innovation and Technology Education.
  • Co-supporting Organization: Youth Literature Foundation.
  • Participation: 27 kindergartens from Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, and Tin Shui Wai districts, with approximately 310 K2 and K3 participants competing in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin recitation categories.
  • Active Participation Award: Awarded to kindergartens with 12 or more participants. Six kindergartens received the award:
    1. Shun Tak Fraternal Association Tuen Mun Leung Lee Sau Yu Kindergarten
    2. Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Ko Tei Koon Memorial Kindergarten
    3. Po Leung Kuk Tin Ka Ping Siu Hong Kindergarten
    4. Ka Bo Kindergarten (Tuen Mun Branch)
    5. Ka Bo Kindergarten Second Branch (Kin Sang Estate)
    6. C&MA Chan Li Wing Ching Memorial Kindergarten
  • Structure: Similar to last year, preliminary rounds will be held in classrooms, followed by finals in the school hall and an immediate award ceremony.
